Three individuals, including two women, have been sentenced for unlawfully detaining, assaulting, and extorting a woman, additionally filming her naked.
The crime is believed to have taken place at a house in Taman Banang Heights, Johor-Batu Pahat. The 33-year-old victim was lured to the location, locked in, and then severely assaulted. She was subsequently held in another house, forced to remove her clothes, and filmed naked.
In addition to the assault and filming, 4,200 Malaysian Ringgit and a mobile phone were stolen from her. Following her complaint, action was taken.
Before Magistrate Arun Noval Dass, Mohamad Salehuddin Ali was found guilty and sentenced to three years in prison and three strokes of the cane. One of the women received a sentence of two years and six months imprisonment, while the other was fined 2,000 Malaysian Ringgit.
