Negeri Sembilan has continued to strengthen its position as one of the nation’s main investment destinations, attracting high-quality investments that can spur industrial growth, create jobs and boost the economy.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said the state government, through Invest Negeri Sembilan, together with Malaysian Investment Development Authority and related agencies, will continue to ensure that the state remains investor-friendly.
He said investors should view Negeri Sembilan as a strategic partner that is efficient, responsive and committed to supporting industrial growth, as well as a progressive and stable investment hub, particularly with the presence of a halal hub in the state.
“Investors’ confidence in the state is reflected in Mahsuri Food Sdn Bhd’s establishment of a modern facility in Bandar Enstek, which highlights the growing halal industry and the state’s industrial potential, supported by stable administration and consistent government policies,” he said at the opening of the company’s new factory here today.
Also present was Mahsuri Food’s non-executive director, Datuk Mohd Roslan Mahayuddin.
Aminuddin said Mahsuri Food’s RM250 million investment is expected to boost the state and local community’s economy by creating 200 jobs.
He said industrial development in the state is not solely focused on investment value, but also on direct benefits to the people, including better job opportunities and skills enhancement, thus helping to improve living standards and secure the future of the younger generation.
According to him, the state government will continue providing the best opportunities and ecosystem for industries to invest, expand and build their future in Negeri Sembilan.
He added that Bandar Enstek is an ideal investment location as the area is emerging as one of Negeri Sembilan’s new growth hubs, supported by modern infrastructure, strategic logistics access and a conducive industrial ecosystem.
“The state government is planning to establish another site within the Tech Park halal hub here soon, which will accommodate new investments such as halal pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and halal vaccines.
“After halal food products, we will focus on other products at the new site, insya-Allah. We have already planned this and hope it will attract even greater interest from foreign investors to the Tech Park area,” he said.
Meanwhile, Aminuddin said Negeri Sembilan recorded RM19.1 billion in approved investments last year, reflecting investors’ high level of confidence in the transparency of the state administration and the effectiveness of its policies.
He added that the state government would continue ensuring that every investment delivers added value to the state and its people through job creation, talent development, technology transfer and long-term competitiveness.
