Kuala Lumpur police have destroyed various drugs worth more than RM5 million.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said a total of 5,022 drug case exhibits were disposed of.
The drugs included methamphetamine, cocaine, ketamine and ketum water, with a total weight of 544.28kg and 963.34 litres of liquid.
The disposal process uses modern scheduled waste-to-energy incinerator technology, with Quality Alam appointed to carry out the work.
The destruction of the seized drugs is being conducted at the waste disposal centre in Bukit Pelandok, Negeri Sembilan.
Police said the disposal is part of ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crimes.
