Indonesia is keeping 53 aircraft on standby to support firefighting operations as the risk of forest and land fires remains high across several regions.
The aircraft are being used for various operations, including water bombing, aerial patrols and weather modification efforts to help control fire hotspots.
Although the number of hotspots has declined significantly in some areas, authorities remain cautious as dry weather continues to increase the risk of new fires.
Indonesia has intensified aerial and ground operations across fire-prone areas in Sumatra and Kalimantan, with thousands of personnel involved in monitoring, firefighting and cooling operations.
The ongoing fires have also contributed to haze affecting parts of Indonesia and neighbouring countries, including Malaysia and Singapore.
Authorities say the aircraft will remain ready to respond quickly if fire activity increases.
