Celine Dion has made her long-awaited return to the stage in Paris, marking her first full concert in six years.
The 58-year-old Canadian singer performed at the Plenitude Arena on Saturday as part of a 26-date residency in the French capital.
Dion was diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome in 2022, a rare neurological condition that caused severe muscle spasms and forced her to step away from live performances.
Her comeback followed years of intensive physical and voice therapy as she worked to regain her ability to perform.
During the opening concert, Dion became emotional as she performed for thousands of fans, who welcomed her return with loud cheers and applause.
She performed several of her best-known songs, including “My Heart Will Go On,” “All By Myself” and “Because You Loved Me.”
The Paris residency includes 16 shows in September and October, followed by another 10 performances in May next year.
Dion’s return has been widely celebrated as a major milestone in her career and a significant personal achievement after years away from the stage.
