BURSA MALAYSIA OPENS HIGHER, TRACKING REGIONAL GAINS (SCREEN)

Bursa Malaysia opened higher on Monday, in line with the positive performance in some regional markets.

At 9.10 am, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rose 6.28 points, or 0.36 per cent, to 1,714.38 from Friday’s close of 1,708.10.

The benchmark index opened 1.60 points higher at 1,709.70.

Market breadth was positive, with gainers outnumbering losers 229 to 187. A total of 360 counters were unchanged, 2,012 untraded and 25 suspended.

Turnover stood at 285.58 million shares worth RM108.52 million.
