The government will include initiatives in Budget 2027 to help reduce the financial burden on the middle-income, or M40, group.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the government is aware of the challenges faced by the M40 and is working on measures to address their concerns.
He said the government’s focus is not only on providing assistance to the lower-income group but also on ensuring the M40 receive appropriate support.
The initiatives will be announced as part of Budget 2027.
Anwar said the government will continue to look at ways to ease the people’s cost of living while ensuring that assistance reaches the groups that need it.
Further details on the measures are expected to be announced when Budget 2027 is tabled.
