A Form Three student at a secondary school in Banting was injured after being attacked and allegedly stabbed multiple times with a sharp weapon.
Sources said the victim sustained injuries to the back and shoulder following the assault.
The suspect, a 15-year-old student from the same school, is believed to have been absent for several months and was reportedly undergoing medical treatment.
According to sources, the suspect, wearing a black T-shirt and red-checkered pants, entered the school compound through the main gate.
However, full details of how the incident unfolded remain unclear.
After the stabbing, the suspect was reportedly calmed by teachers near the school surau area before police arrived and made an arrest. A knife believed to have been used in the attack was also seized.
At this stage, the motive remains unconfirmed.
Kuala Langat district police chief Superintendent Mohd Akmalrizal Radzi has confirmed the incident and said an official statement will be issued soon.
Meanwhile, videos circulating on social media show a female teenager dressed in black walking inside the school compound while holding a knife, while other students are seen fleeing in panic.
There are also claims that the suspect was a former student expelled from the school and may have been seeking revenge.
