Justin Hoh Exits Australian Open in Quarter-Finals After Straight-Games Defeat

Malaysian singles shuttler Justin Hoh’s bid to make a strong impression at the Australian Open ended in disappointment after he was knocked out in the quarter-finals on Friday.

The world No. 47 went down 7-21, 13-21 to Indonesia’s Moh Zaki Ubaidillah in a one-sided contest that lasted just 38 minutes.

Despite entering the match with confidence after beating Zaki at the Asian Team Championships in China earlier this year, Justin was unable to replicate that performance and struggled to find rhythm throughout the match.

The defeat marked his third loss to the Indonesian opponent, having previously fallen to Zaki at last year’s SEA Games team event and the Thailand Masters.

The 22-year-old’s exit ends Malaysia’s challenge in the men’s singles competition at the tournament.
