Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has urged leaders in the Unity Government, particularly from Pakatan Harapan (PH), to stop reviving issues involving former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, during the Johor state election campaign.
Referring to recent remarks by DAP deputy chairman Nga Kor Ming, Zahid questioned whether PH had “run out of campaign material” and said the focus should instead be on Johor and voters’ concerns.
He also welcomed PAS’ willingness to cooperate with UMNO if BN falls short of a simple majority, saying BN would honour its election manifesto if it wins the state polls. Zahid thanked BN’s campaign machinery and expressed appreciation for growing support from non-Malay voters.
