“The other suspect, with the ‘Datuk Seri’ title, was released today after his remand period, which was extended by two days, ended,” the sources added.

On Oct 1, both men, in their 40s and 50s, were remanded for five days after being detained on Sept 30 when they turned up to give their statements at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya.

The sources said the MACC also seized 15 luxury cars worth about RM31 million, 12 high-powered motorcycles valued at about RM5 million, five luxury watches, three bracelets and about RM30,000 in cash, in addition to freezing two personal bank accounts containing about RM2 million.
