Three siblings died after the motorcycle they were riding collided with a lorry along Jalan Parit Haji Sirat here at about 7am today.
The victims were two boys aged 11 and eight, and an 18-year-old youth. They were reportedly on their way to school at the time of the incident.
Reports said the siblings were unaware that schools across Johor had been closed for two days due to poor air quality caused by haze.
Pontian district police chief Superintendent Hadzrat Hussein Mion Hussian said further investigations were underway, with police expected to issue a statement on the case.
