Malaysia’s S. Sivasangari has become the first Malaysian woman to reach the PSA Squash Tour Finals final since Nicol David achieved the feat in 2012.
The world No. 5 secured her place in the title match after producing a remarkable comeback to defeat top seed Amina Orfi of Egypt 8-11, 11-10, 11-8, 11-10 in a thrilling 74-minute semi-final in Paris yesterday.

The fourth-seeded Malaysian will now face another Egyptian, second seed Hania El Hammamy, in the final today.
Head-to-head records favour Hania, with Sivasangari winning just two of their previous 10 meetings.
Her victories over the Egyptian came at the Women’s Squash Championships in 2017 and the London Squash Classic in 2024.
Sivasangari will also be aiming to capture her second title of the year, having claimed the Grasshopper Cup crown in Zurich, Switzerland, in April.
A victory in the final would mark another milestone in an impressive season for the Kedah-born squash star as she continues to establish herself among the world’s elite players.
