Royal Johor Wins Inaugural Johor Super Crown Polo Tournament

Royal Johor emerged as the inaugural champions of the Johor Super Crown Polo Tournament (JSCPT) 2026 after defeating Temasek 10-7 in the final at the Royal Polo Grounds, Istana Pasir Pelangi, on Sept 6.

Johor Regent Tunku Mahkota Ismail delivered a standout performance, scoring six goals to help Royal Johor secure the title.

His performance also earned him the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award. He played despite a hand injury.

Royal Johor’s winning team also featured international polo stars Pablo Pieres, Juan Martín Nero and Juan Bautista Panzillo.

Temasek finished as runners-up, while Korea Polo Club took third place.

The six-day tournament, held from Sept 1 to 6, was a 22-goal international competition, making it the highest-handicap polo tournament held in Malaysia to date.

The tournament was organised as part of efforts to strengthen Johor’s position as an international polo destination and promote the state’s sporting and royal heritage.
