Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim returned home this evening after being discharged from hospital following surgery to treat an abdominal hernia.
Anwar shared a photograph of himself reading a book on Facebook with the caption, “Alhamdulillah, back home”, indicating that he had returned to his residence.
Earlier, his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, said he was expected to be discharged from hospital after receiving treatment.
On Monday, Anwar successfully underwent an elective laparoscopic procedure to treat a para-umbilical hernia and was placed under close observation by a team of medical specialists.
