South Korean entertainment technology company Galaxy Corp has officially opened Galaxy Robot Park in Seoul, featuring AI-powered robots, K-pop performances and interactive experiences.
The 16,500-square-metre park attracted more than 20,000 visitors during its pre-opening period since July.
At the Robot Arena, AI-powered humanoid robots performed to popular K-pop songs, while visitors could also operate robot dogs and dance alongside robots.
Galaxy Corp CEO Choi Yong-ho said the company sees robot-based entertainment as a potential new wave following the global success of K-pop.
The company plans to use the Seoul park as a starting point for expansion into international markets, including the United States, the United Arab Emirates and Japan.
