A 44-year-old father and his teenage son have been remanded for seven and two days respectively to assist investigations into the death of a 49-year-old woman with a disability in Kampung Cheh, Kati.
The remand orders were issued by the Kuala Kangsar Magistrate’s Court today. Police are investigating the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
The woman, identified as Nor Ainon Omar, was found unconscious and covered in blood in the living room of her home on Wednesday afternoon. Police said initial investigations indicated that the incident was believed to have stemmed from a dispute between the victim and the suspects.
Police also recovered a knife believed to have been used in the incident. The victim’s body was sent to Taiping Hospital’s Forensic Department for a post-mortem.
