The mystery surrounding the discovery of a woman’s body parts inside a suitcase on a train in India has begun to unravel after police found more remains at a house near Chennai.
The remains were discovered in a red wheeled suitcase on the Tamil Nadu Express at Agra Cantonment railway station on Aug 5.
Police later identified the victim as 38-year-old Hayathun Nisha from Odisha, who was working for a private company in Chennai.
CCTV footage showed a man and a woman carrying a similar suitcase before boarding the train from Chennai Central on Aug 3.
Further investigations led police to a house in Guduvanchery, where more body parts were reportedly found.
Police believe Nisha had previously lived there with two suspects, who remain at large. Special teams have been formed to track them down as investigations continue into her death and the possible motive.
