A television actress known for her roles in police dramas arrived at the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex on Friday morning after allegedly testing positive for drugs during an enforcement raid at an unlicensed entertainment outlet.
Dressed in black and wearing a face mask, the actress arrived at the court complex at approximately 8.49am, accompanied by three personal bodyguards.
She is expected to be charged under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
The actress was previously released on police bail after testing positive for three types of drugs following the raid.
According to earlier reports, the 40-year-old actress, who also participated in a singing reality television competition, was detained in a VIP room together with several other individuals during the operation.
Preliminary drug screening allegedly found her positive for amphetamine, methamphetamine and ketamine.
Investigations also revealed that the entertainment outlet was operating without a valid business licence after its operator failed to produce the required documentation during inspections.
A total of 14 individuals were detained during the raid, including the premises caretaker, seven men and six women.
The case is expected to be mentioned before the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court.
