A 32-year-old childcare worker, Nur Syuhaida Jamalluddin, has been charged in the Sepang Magistrate’s Court over the alleged murder of an 11-month-old baby girl.
The accused, a mother of two, was brought before Magistrate Khairatul Animah Jelani, where she was formally charged for the offence allegedly committed between 9.31am and 11.24am on May 18 at an apartment in Taman Putra Perdana, Sepang.
The charge was framed under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, which carries the death penalty or imprisonment of up to 40 years upon conviction.
