An AIIMS medical panel has concluded that Indian model Divisha Sharma died by suicide, with no major injuries suggesting physical assault or a struggle found on her body.
The five-member medical team submitted its 11-page final forensic report to the Central Bureau of Investigation on July 10 following a second post-mortem ordered by the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
The team also examined evidence, including a gymnastic belt, which had raised questions during the investigation.
Meanwhile, the CBI has filed a 636-page chargesheet against Divisha’s husband, Samarth Singh, and her mother-in-law, Kripala Singh.
They face allegations including dowry harassment, cruelty and abetment of suicide.
Divisha, a former Miss Pune titleholder, was found dead at her husband’s home in Bhopal on May 12, five months after her marriage.
