Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has thanked the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim and Raja Permaisuri Agong Raja Zarith Sofiah for their birthday wishes and prayers for his speedy recovery.
Anwar expressed his heartfelt thanks for their kind wishes and prayers for his health and recovery in a social media post.
The Prime Minister celebrated his 79th birthday on Monday and successfully underwent a planned laparoscopic procedure for a hernia in his abdominal area.
Following the procedure, Anwar also shared a photograph of himself smiling in his hospital room beside a bouquet of flowers.
Cabinet members, civil servants and members of the public have also sent their wishes for Anwar’s speedy recovery.
The messages of support came as the Prime Minister recovers following the planned medical procedure.
