Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today extended his birthday wishes to former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who celebrates his 101st birthday.
In a Facebook post, Anwar prayed for Dr Mahathir to continue being blessed with good health, strength and God’s grace.
“May Tun continue to be blessed with grace, good health and remain under His blessings, Insya-Allah,” he wrote.
Born on July 10, 1925, in Alor Setar, Kedah, Dr Mahathir is Malaysia’s longest-serving prime minister, having led the country for 22 years from 1981 to 2003 before returning for a second term from 2018 to 2020.
His appointment in 2018 at the age of 92 made him the world’s oldest serving prime minister at the time.
