A 15-year-old student accused of stabbing a schoolmate at a secondary school in Banting has been remanded for four days to assist police investigations.
The remand order was granted by Magistrate Maslinda Selamat at the Telok Datok Magistrate’s Court, following a police application.
The teenager’s lawyer from the National Legal Aid Foundation said the accused is autistic and a person with disabilities.
The alleged attack occurred during recess, with the injured Form Three student reportedly suffering multiple stab wounds, including an injury that punctured a lung.
Police are still investigating the motive behind the incident.
