The mystery of a foul odour emanating from a shop lot was solved after the body of an elderly man was discovered at Jalan Bata, Titiwangsa Sentral here today.
The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department Operations Centre (PGOKL) said firefighters from the Sentul Fire and Rescue Station were deployed to the scene following an emergency call for a locked-door assistance case at 4:36 p.m.
Incident commander Mohammad Farid Abd Hamid reported that upon arrival at 4:46 p.m., they found a 64-year-old male victim inside the premises.
The victim was found lying motionless and in a decomposed state and was confirmed dead by medical personnel at the scene. The body was later handed over to the police for further action.
