Two soldiers were killed following an explosion during a military training exercise at an army camp in Gurun, Kedah, today.
The victims, a male and a female soldier, reportedly succumbed to their injuries while being transported to Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital for treatment.
Kuala Muda police chief Hanyan Ramlan confirmed the incident, stating that authorities received information about the explosion at approximately 12.30pm.
The blast is believed to have involved a bomb during the exercise, although the exact circumstances surrounding the incident have yet to be disclosed.
Authorities are expected to conduct further investigations to determine the cause of the explosion.
