Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) has clarified that the temporary closure of the railway track between Kempas Baru Station and JB Sentral Station does not involve a complete shutdown of operations at JB Sentral.
In a statement on Thursday, KTMB said the closure will only take place from 10pm tonight until 6am tomorrow to facilitate the safe installation of a Pedestrian Over Bridge (POB) at JB Sentral Station.
During the eight-hour closure, only two Electric Train Service (ETS) trains — services 9449 and 9535 — will be affected. Both trains will terminate at Kempas Baru Station, with passengers transferred to JB Sentral via replacement bus services provided by KTMB.
The rail operator said affected passengers have been notified in advance through SMS alerts and announcements on KTMB’s official communication channels to ensure smooth travel arrangements.
KTMB added that train services at JB Sentral will resume normal operations immediately after the completion of the bridge installation works at 6am on Friday.
