A criminal intimidation complaint lodged against former Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Azam Baki by businessman Albert Tei has been classified as “No Further Action” (NFA) due to insufficient evidence.
Albert Tei had previously filed a police report with Bukit Aman, alleging that Azam Baki had threatened him while he was attempting to expose alleged corruption involving politicians in Sabah last year.
Denying the allegation, Azam Baki appeared before investigators on June 3 to provide his statement.
Following a comprehensive investigation involving the complainant and other relevant parties, the Attorney General’s Chambers said the case has been officially closed, as the elements required to establish a criminal intimidation offence could not be substantiated.
