Thirteen men, including two teenagers, pleaded not guilty at the Magistrates’ Court today to charges of rioting involving dangerous weapons in Jinjang Utara, Kuala Lumpur.
The accused are alleged to have taken part in a riot using hazardous weapons such as wooden sticks at a premises in Jinjang Utara.
The incident is said to have occurred at about 3.27pm on June 11 in front of a business premises in the area.
The charges were framed under Section 148 of the Penal Code.
Magistrate Illi Marisqa Khalizan allowed bail of RM4,500 each for three of the accused, while the remaining 10 were granted bail of RM5,500 each.
The court fixed August 13 for mention of the case.
