The Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Muhammad V, today performed Friday prayers with the people in conjunction with His Royal Highness’s 57th birthday celebration at the Nurul Hidayah Mosque here.
The Sultan arrived at the mosque at 1.32 pm and was welcomed by state Islamic Development, Dakwah, Information and Regional Relations Committee chairman Mohd Asri Mat Daud, along with members of the state executive council and senior state government officials.
Also present were the Tengku Mahkota of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra, Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud and Kelantan police chief Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat.
About 2,000 congregants attended Friday prayers at the mosque.
