Indian Man Found Dead in UAE, Body Discovered in Nine Pieces

A man from Karnataka’s Udupi district was allegedly murdered in Sharjah in July, with his body later discovered inside a car, according to India Today.

Alwin Prakash Kunder, who had worked at Sharjah Airport for about 14 years, was reported missing after his family became concerned when he stopped responding to calls.

His brother said Alwin had sent an unusual text message saying he was fine, despite normally communicating through voice messages. A missing-person report was later lodged after checks reportedly indicated that he remained in Sharjah.

His body was subsequently found inside a car parked along a route towards Oman. His brother said the remains had been divided into nine pieces and placed in two bags.

The case has taken another turn as Alwin’s wife, Tina Kunder, and their teenage son are also reportedly untraceable. Reports that they may have travelled to India have not been independently confirmed.

Sharjah authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding Alwin’s death. Police have not publicly confirmed the suspects or motive. Any suggestion of his wife’s involvement remains unverified.

Udupi police are awaiting official communication from Sharjah authorities, while the family is seeking assistance to bring Alwin’s remains back to India.
