HKL Seeks Family, Friends of Patient Without Identification Documents

Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the family members or acquaintances of a patient who has been receiving treatment at the hospital since Aug 17.

In a statement today, HKL said the patient, known by the name “Thambirajan”, was admitted to the Emergency and Trauma Department after suffering a stroke.

However, he did not have any identification documents and was unable to provide further information about himself.

The hospital’s Medical Social Work Department also found that the patient could not provide his full name or identity card number.

HKL said the patient was referred to the National Registration Department (JPN) to verify his identity, but checks found no matching record.

Family members or anyone who knows the patient are urged to contact HKL as soon as possible to assist with his treatment and care arrangements.

For information, contact the HKL Medical Social Work Department at 03-2615 5959.
