Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof today returned to attend a Cabinet meeting after undergoing heart bypass surgery and taking medical leave to recuperate.
“My deepest appreciation and thanks to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and all my Cabinet colleagues for their concern, prayers and support throughout my treatment.
“I am very grateful and happy to be back with my Cabinet colleagues at today’s meeting.
“May we all be blessed with good health and lasting well-being, and be able to carry out the responsibilities entrusted to us to the best of our ability,” he said in a Facebook post.
The Petra Jaya MP underwent heart bypass surgery at IJN on Aug 12 after being admitted to the institute on July 28. He underwent a coronary angiogram the following day.
