Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof will undergo heart bypass surgery at the National Heart Institute (IJN) in the near future, following the advice of a team of medical specialists.
His Press Secretary, Datuk Misiah Taib, said Fadillah, who is also the Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA), is in stable condition.
In a statement issued today, Misiah said Fadillah has been advised to take complete rest and is not encouraged to receive visitors to ensure his treatment and recovery proceed smoothly.
The family has appealed to the public to pray for the success of the surgery and treatment, and for Fadillah’s full recovery so that he can return to his official duties.
The statement also said the family expressed its appreciation and gratitude to everyone for their prayers, support and concern.
