An 89-year-old woman suffered a fractured ankle after falling inside her locked home in Salak South Garden today.
The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department said it received an emergency call at 11.13am and dispatched a team from the Sungai Besi Fire and Rescue Station.
By the time firefighters arrived, members of the public had already opened the locked door. Firefighters provided initial treatment before the woman was handed over to an ambulance from Hospital Kuala Lumpur for further medical care.
