A five-year-old boy died after he was believed to have fallen from his family’s apartment on the 24th floor of a condominium in Teluk Kumbar on Thursday night.
The child was found by members of the public at about 11.30pm on the fifth floor of the condominium before being pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

His body was later taken to Penang Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Southwest District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Anuwal Ab Wahab said the police would issue an official statement regarding the incident.
Earlier, Bayan Lepas assemblyman Azrul Mahathir Aziz said in a Facebook post that he had visited the scene to offer assistance following the tragedy.
“I was at the location from about 12.15am until 2am after being informed of the incident involving the child, who was believed to have fallen from his residence on the 24th floor.
“May the family be granted strength, fortitude and patience during this difficult time,” he said.
