Police Hunt Five More Suspects in Armed Sentul Mall Riot

The investigation paper into a violent clash involving an armed group at a shopping complex in Sentul-Jinjang Utara was submitted to the Deputy Public Prosecutor today.

Sentul District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Basri Sagoni said the remand order for 13 suspects, aged between 18 and 51, who were previously arrested and remanded for seven days in connection with the incident, has been extended until June 23.

While the investigation paper has been submitted for consideration of charges against the 13 suspects, police are actively tracking down five additional individuals who remain at large.

The suspects were arrested within 12 hours of an emergency call received from members of the public, following a joint operation by the Kuala Lumpur and Sentul Criminal Investigation Departments.

Police are investigating the case under offences related to rioting with weapons and voluntarily causing grievous hurt.
