Videos allegedly showing a domestic helper being assaulted by several individuals have gone viral on social media, sparking widespread outrage and calls for an official investigation.
The footage, which has been widely shared online, shows the maid being confronted over allegations that she had physically abused her employer’s daughter. Several individuals were seen presenting what they claimed was evidence from closed-circuit television (CCTV) recordings before allegedly slapping and physically attacking the woman.
The incident is believed to have taken place in Johor. According to claims circulating on social media, the employer discovered the alleged abuse after reviewing CCTV footage that purportedly showed the maid striking the child.
While many social media users acknowledged the seriousness of the child abuse allegations, they also condemned the alleged assault on the domestic helper, arguing that any suspected wrongdoing should be reported to the authorities and addressed through legal channels.
The videos have since generated intense online discussion, with netizens urging police to investigate both the alleged abuse of the child and the reported assault on the domestic worker. Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
