Fahmi Fadzil has urged Pakatan Harapan to focus on strengthening its own machinery rather than relying on the weaknesses of its opponents ahead of the upcoming state elections.
He said the coalition’s leadership had made it clear that PH’s election machinery must be built on its own capabilities and preparedness, regardless of developments within rival parties.
“The weakness of our opponents does not mean we are strong. Therefore, the directive from the leadership is that the machinery and teams within PH must be strong on their own,” he told reporters after officiating the AI@NADI programme in Tanjung Ipoh.
Fahmi was responding to questions on PH’s prospects in the coming state polls, particularly in Negeri Sembilan, following the breakdown of political ties between Bersatu and PAS.
The Johor State Election 2026 is scheduled for July 11, while the Negeri Sembilan State Election 2026 will take place on Aug 1.
