The Johor state administration will continue operating as a caretaker government to ensure the smooth running of daily affairs ahead of the upcoming state election.
According to a Facebook post by Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, although the Johor State Legislative Assembly (DUN) was dissolved on June 1, routine government operations remain ongoing and require close oversight.
In line with this, the King granted an audience to Johor Menteri Besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi yesterday.
The meeting, held at Istana Pasir Pelangi, was aimed at updating the King on the latest developments concerning state government affairs.
The post noted that such meetings are part of regular engagements between the King and the Menteri Besar and will continue throughout the caretaker administration period. Meanwhile, the Election Commission of Malaysia is scheduled to hold a special meeting tomorrow to determine key dates for the Johor and Negeri Sembilan state elections.
